I'm really tempted to get either the new iPhone X🅂 or the iPhone X🅂 Max , the only "issue" I have right now is deciding on the preferred screen size. I currently own and use an iPhone 8 Plus, and I had the 6s and 6 Plus before, effectively using the same display surface area for over 3 years. I'm kind of used to this size now, but I am also starting to feel that I would like to try something new, so the iPhone Xs it is... but which one? I'm still not a fan of the notch, but I guess I can get used to it. The notch however is that part that takes away a sizable screen real estate area from these phones. I've read on many forums that the 5.8 inch iPhone X wasn't really bigger than the iPhone 8 Plus. I wanted to be sure on that, so I started think how could I measure the display surface area only (in square inches or square centimeters), and after checking some forums, I finally figured it out! Apple just announced their latest iPhones (the Xs, Xs Max, and the Xr), and boy are the prices unbelievably high: The most top of the line model with 512 GB internal storage costs 1500 USD or 52,900 NTD ! That's way over the average salary of Taiwanese people, especially those outside of Taipei. Nevertheless, I believe these phones will be a hit in Taiwan. Most people will buy them subsidized, and probably the entry level version with less storage. Let us look at all the prices in NTD for the 3 different series: Even the "affordable" iPhone Xr is not cheap, but somewhat in the range of the iPhone 8 Plus, so I believe it will be the most sold iPhone model in Taiwan, followed by the iPhone Xs Max (Taiwanese love gold and big screens - and it's new, nice to show off, especially in Taipei). I personally think Apple's gone insane with these prices, and I'll most likely use my iPhone 8 Plus for another year. What will you do? Let me know in the comments.

I bought my iPhone 6s Plus (Gold) in December 2015 (photo above is from the day I unboxed it), that is 6 months ago. When I saw the phone in one of the Taiwan Mobile shops a few weeks before that, I was stunned. The Golden color looked gorgeous, and it's the first time I didn't buy a black (or space gray) iPhone. It was a plasticky/rubbery transparent case, that had a good grip, but made the phone a little bit bulkier.
